Greetings from a true Jersey Girl ~
Here we go...I am launching my "Blog". Prepare for take-off!!
I just discovered that my nephew and his wife in Ohio have their own blogs -- and I couldn't help but want one for myself!
My Jersey Girl Background: I was born and raised here on the east coast, about half a mile from the Atlantic Ocean and a few towns away from where we are now.
We live in a pretty decent town and my husband is active in local government. He's been in this town for over 30 years and I've been living here for about 15. We've been married since 1997.
The Boss (Springsteen), is our neighbor; hence my blog title (Greetings / Jersey Girl).
We love it here; we live in a riverfront house that we designed and built about 7 years ago; loving the property and location so much that we actually tore down the house we lived in before, and then built our "dream house" here. It truly is our dream house, too. The "old" house was a ranch house built right on ground level and we used to flood "big time". During some full moons and nor'easters I would actually have to roll up the rugs in our livingroom and elevate some of the furniture to avoid damage! So we built the new house higher and now the water stays out. Having no children of our own, it is as though I gave birth to this house; I could NEVER move away from it.
Our household consists of hubby and me, and our 2 dogs; a 10 year old American Eskimo mutt and an 8 year old Yorkshire Terrier mutt (we call them "the girls"); the 10 year old is about 30 pounds and the Yorkie is a whopping 13 pounds!! We love them like they were our children. We are what some people refer to as "dog people". I will get some pics of our family posted soon (that is, as soon as I figure out how to do it).
Since I am new to this blog scene, it's going to take a little while for me to figure it all out. I am on the computer all day at work and will "blog" in the evenings from my home computer.
One of my hobbies is digital photography, so I expect that I will be placing lots of my pics -- my photo library consists of about 6,000 pictures. Subject matter varies but it is mostly pics of:

- The Girls
- The House
- The Family
- The View
So I hope that I can keep this going. I have been known to ramble on my emails, so it should come naturally, right?
Here's a clip of our view and yes, the rainbow is real.
